Why oh why don't card manufacturers (of Christmas and other sorts) produce A5 cards?????
For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about go to
this page on Wikipedia (the link opens a new window, btw) to see what I'm on about.
Since the British Post Office changed the way they charge for postage about 18 months ago we have had to take into account the size of the envelope as well as the weight, and indeed my last birthday saw me paying extra postage on an envelope from a family member!
But this isnt my current gripe - I find writing hard and so have developed the habit of printing my message on the inside of the card as well as an electronic rendering of my name. I always have problems working out where on the surface of the card the print will land and it would be SO much easier if card manufacturers would produce cards in line with European paper sizes. I end up wasting at least two cards every flaming year and I resent this. A5 isnt so much different to the majority of uniform cards sold in boxes by stores like Asda and Woolworths, and it would make it easier for everyone as I have a funny feeling all my cards are going to be the "Large Letter" size (162 × 229mm or 6.4ins × 9.0ins)!!
What does anyone out there think?
This is the third blog I have tried to set up, the first two on another service provider, webring.com. They just did not work at all so I have come back to bravenet in the hopes that their blog works for me.
